Electronic Cigarette - Cleanier, Healthier Smoking?

The electronic cigarette is smokeless, tobacco free and tar free. The smoke like substance you see with an e cig is simply an odourless water vapour.
These immediately sounds like a more pleasant, healthier experience than regular cigarettes don't you think? No ash trays needed, no smoke clinging to yours and everybody else's clothes, just a cleaner experience altogether.

Most people are probably aware of someone who has either died or been very ill from smoking related illnesses and it is a very sad thing. Does the electronic cigarette offer any hope to those who have not yet become ill because of their tobacco smoking? There are many out there who think it does and lots of smokers have already tried the e cig and decided it was a very smart choice.

Distributors claim them to be not only a healthier alternative to regular cigarettes, but cheaper too! Other advantages are said to be that because there is no smoke with an e cigarette that they conveniently side step the public smoking bans around the world. Once a proprietor of a business is aware of what the product is, there is little they can do really, to prevent you "smoking" your smokeless cigarette.

This new way of smoking seems to be catching on too, with some celebrities and famous faces being seen in public with electronic cigarettes. Most smokers I imagine would love a way to quit smoking and some distributors actually market the product saying that the e cig could do just that, help the smoker quit tobacco cigarettes.

Electronic Cigarette - It's All In the Vapour

The whole point of the electronic cigarette is that the smoker is not actually inhaling any smoke or tobacco at all. The latest version e cigs look so real that from a few feet away you could be mistaken and think that a regular cigarette is being smoked.

This smoke and mirrors act is clever to say the least, as not only does it allow the smoker to feel they are really smoking but they also get to do so without ever taking on board any tobacco. So, what is that smoke like substance coming from the end of the electronic cigarette? It certainly looks like a cloud of smoke from here! Well, it is actually just a water vapour created by the inbuilt atomiser. It doesn't linger and it doesn't have any odour and once again it is not actually smoke!

In many parts of the United States of America, smokers often refer to the activity of smoking e cigarettes as "vaping" because the vapour has completely replaced the smoke.

How do e cigs work then if they don't have any smoke and they don't contain any tobacco? Well, what they do have is a section for removable and replaceable nicotine cartridges, so that whilst the smoker isn't inhaling all those dangerous toxins from tobacco, they at least get a fix of nicotine. Nicotine is of course known to be addictive, so how then do these e cigs work as a quit smoking device as many distributors claim?

The nicotine cartridges, being replaceable can contain varying amounts of nicotine, and indeed, many sellers of the e cigarette supply nicotine cartridges in various strengths. So, perhaps a smoker could start off on a cartridge that is similar to what they have been smoking in their regular cigarettes but when they feel comfortable they can gradually reduce the strength of nicotine they are inhaling. There is even a cartridge available that contains no nicotine at all! So, potentially you could smoke an electronic cigarette and not be absorbing any tobacco or nicotine.

Despite lots of ups and downs in their relatively short life span (around 3 or 4 years they have been in existence) it seems the electronic cigarette won't be disappearing any time soon! There are many websites online that sell both the e cig itself and all the necessary accessories to help your switch away from the very harmful tobacco cigarettes if you so choose.

Electronic Cigarette - How does it Work?

If you haven’t already heard of the electronic cigarette, then it is likely that you will sometime soon. Despite some fairly significant obstacles, the electronic cigarette (or e cig) is proving to be very popular indeed, especially among existing smokers seeking to smoke something that claims to be safer and healthier as well as hoping to use it as a stepping stone to quitting the habit altogether.

The hook is that these e cigs don’t contain any tobacco. Only tobacco flavouring and a nicotine cartridge which are available in different strengths. So an addicted smoker still gets to sate his or her craving for nicotine, without inhaling all the toxins associated with tobacco and regular cigarettes.

The e cigarette looks real too, so if you did decide to turn away from your old cigarettes, you won’t be embarrassed by a large, cumbersome and unrealistic looking item. So your friends, buddies and family members will not tease you. More likely they will be fascinated when you tell them it is not a real cigarette you are smoking, and that they won’t be able to smell any smoke.

The nicotine cartridges mentioned earlier are a crucial part of the success of this product. Allowing the “smoker” to choose between different strength nicotine that is in the replaceable cartridge. It even affords the possibility of using a cartridge that contains no nicotine at all, which would effectively mean that you could quit smoking as you knew it altogether.

These are all very grand claims by the manufacturer of electronic cigarettes but if they can back them up, and I guess only the health authorities and the smokers themselves can decide, then we will be hearing much, much more about the e cig in the coming years.

Electronic Cigarette – The Next Smokeless Chapter on Quitting Smoking

Well folks, the revolutionary electronic cigarette is still on sale, despite many attempts to ban or limit the device. Like everything in life, the electronic cigarette is sure to have its pros and cons, its supporters and it’s knockers but there seems to be no doubt now, that when they hear about its potential, people want to give it a try.

Smoking kills. We have known that for years and years but ideas and methods of quitting smoking (apart from good old will power) have been pretty slow to become a reality, with many ideas being quickly abandoned as hopeless by smokers the world over. However, it’s probably fair to say that the majority of smokers would indeed love to quit the smoking habit, but nothing has come close to really helping with the addiction side of things. At least, nothing that smokers have formed a consensus on.

When the electronic cigarette burst onto the scene just a few short years ago, many people laughed and mocked, thinking it to be just another pointless gimmick. Another marketing opportunity to make a quick buck. The e cig is still here though, and more and more people are hearing about other smokers who have tried it and love it, as they eliminate their tobacco intake completely. Prices are becoming more competitive and the issues surrounding the safety of the e cigarette are mostly unfounded and seem to be being largely ignored.

An electric cigarette, according to manufacturers and distributors contains no tobacco at all and none of the harmful toxins associated with tobacco. Nicotine is present but this can be reduced as quickly or as gradually as the smoker wishes, thanks to a removable and replaceable cartridge system. The smoke that comes from the realistic looking cigarette device is not actually smoke at all but an odourless vapour, so no more clothes stinking of smoke!

Smokers who have turned to the electronic cigarette in the hope of being able to quit regular cigarettes are widely delighted with the product and many have smoked their last ever tobacco cigarette. There are other advantages of trading in the old regular cigarette for the e cigarette such as being able to smoke in public places, such as pubs, offices and even on aeroplanes! Because of course, there is no actual smoke coming from them, they are not included in the same public ban as tobacco cigarettes.

Swimming Pool Supplies - Keep Your Pool In Shape

In order to keep your swimming pool in great condition, there are certain things that are necessary. Regular maintenance, which involves making sure all your swimming pool equipment and supplies are up to date and in good working order.

There is much to remember if you want to ensure your pool looks good enough to swim in, let alone to actually be safe and hygienic. Current swimming pool owners will already be aware of all the extra, often unseen work that is undertaken.

The pool water itself needs to be checked regularly to discover if the disinfection levels are correct. Regardless of whether you have a commercial pool or a private pool, you want all the visitors and bathers to swim in safety. There are various kinds of test tablets and test kits available and it is wise to have this on board at all times.

Alongside your water safety test kits, you will need all the relevant swimming pool chemicals, such as chlorines and sodium hypochlorite and you may need specialist contractors to introduce these chemicals into your pool as all chemicals need to be handled properly and carefully.

Unless you are fortunate enough to live in a place where the weather is hot nearly all of the time, you are definitely going to need swimming pool heating and this comes in various shapes, sizes and affordability, depending on the size and nature of your pool.

Things that are often taken for granted such as handrails and ladders must also be taken into account. Some pools would be nigh on impossible to get out of without the use of these and they must not be forgotten about when you are considering your swimming pool supplies and maintenance.

So, if you are moving into a property with a pool and you are a first time swimming pool owner or are thinking of building a swimming pool, the things mentioned above will need to be thought about. Many pool owners enlist the help of swimming pool engineering services to help and many of them can be found by searching the internet.

A New Extreme Sport - Lazy Wakeboarding

A new extreme sport has been born and it goes by the name of lazy wakeboarding. What is this strange sounding sport that is sure to sweep across the world like its standard wakeboarding forerunner?

I happened across this activity by accident on a recent vacation and quickly became a fan and an avid participator. There are several things that seem to be a prerequisite for the sport to be enjoyed at its optimum level.

1. A great location with great views.

2. Some fantastic water, the shinier and wetter the better. (Warm is a bonus)

3. All your best boards and bindings, the flashier the better.

4. Litres of sun tan lotion. (or fake tan if you are from the UK like me)

5. Gallons of your favourite alcohol (water if you are being responsible or on a fitness drive)

6. An MP3 player riddled with your most loved electric guitar tunes.

7. Your Wakeboarding theory manual open at the “Keep Knees Bent” chapter.

Once all these things are safely acquired, you are almost ready. Find the best spot down on the pontoon along with the most comfortable sun lounger and get all your gear in place, nicely nestled all around you. Slip on your coolest extreme sports baseball cap and your faithful shades and get ready to be blown away!

As all your wakeboarding buddies line up for a tow and head off across the wake, just relax in the knowledge that your sport is even more extreme and even more popular because this is lazy wakeboarding!

Known in some countries as sunbathing or “chilling”, lazy wakeboarding is taking off! On my recent trip to Greece, I found myself unable to tear myself away from the sport, putting in the hours each day in my quest to improve my knowledge and skill level.

After seven days I think I had mastered the basics but I know there is a long way to go before I can consider myself a lazy wakeboarding pro. I would have included some fancy snap shots of me in lazy wakeboarding action but I was so involved in the sport that I had very little time for recreation time and photography.

A word of warning: Unless you are photographing close friends and family and have permission to do so, I would advise against acquiring your own photo collection of the sport as you are likely to be arrested, beaten up or most likely, both. If you are famous, the paparazzi will certainly compile a lazy wakeboarding photo portfolio for you.

If you wish to discover all the hottest, lazy wakeboarding spots around or just want to find out more great info about wakeboarding in general, why not make your way to http://www.bornextreme.co.uk a great place to discover all your extreme sports equipment.

10 Crazy Reasons to Click This Link

Who would have thought that articles with titles such as "10 this" or "10 that" would have become quite as popular as they have? I just "googled" the phrase "10 reasons" and there were 133 million results! The universe loves these articles!

What happened to the good, old fashioned, compelling title, when writers didn't need ten reasons to have their work read? I guess those days are long gone and we need to think of ten reasons every time we want to write, even if we only have one reason!

As dismayed as I may be, I do understand the reasons for the increase in popularity of such articles. We are told the reader no longer reads but simply scans articles, looking for "relevant only to me" points.

Fair enough, but does this actually encourage lazy reading and perhaps even worse does it encourage lazy writing? In a quick, quick world with even quicker lives should we not even try to slow down just a little so that we might actually absorb something? Discuss!

Anyway, the title promised you "10 Crazy Reasons", so I had better not disappoint.

1. If you have actually made it to point one, then one thing is for sure, you clicked the title, and so you probably really are crazy or just bored senseless.

2. I am running out of reasons already so this could be a big mistake. That's got to be crazy!

3. Seven more crazy reasons after this one, so please don't go.

4. Reason four is all about encouragement and support. I truly believe you can reach the end of the article, I am right behind you. Cheer up, it might get better.

5. In order to be a more considerate lover, you must, oh sorry, wrong article.

6. You think if you keep reading these "crazy" reasons, you might eventually happen across one that means something and will have a great impact on your life. For all you know it could be crazy reason number seven.

8. By now you may be scratching your head, feeling cheated and as though you have wasted time and energy. There is cause for celebation though, as it may mean you have read all points thus far, ruling out any chance of you only being a "scan" reader!

9. Only two reasons to go now. Perhaps the writer has been bluffing and will finish with a profound bang.

10. If you are still here at reason ten, then my thoughts are with you. Your bonus for arriving here is an opportunity to see the "witty" and crucial disclaimer below.

Disclaimer : This ever so slightly sarcastic look at the genre of article known to me as "10 Reasons" in no way prohibits me from engaging in articles of this nature, mockingly or for serious purposes in the not too distant and further future.

Look out for an article coming soon entitled, "10 reasons why crazy reason number seven was missing!" You don't want to miss that one; it may have the golden nugget of information we all clamour for, the missing link that will complete our lives, the supreme piece of knowledge that will solve all our problems and the world's too!

There may also be an article called, "10 reasons why Microsoft Word isn't user friendly to "witty" writers who would really love to skip a number in the middle of the article!"

Profile Pictures - Pros and Cons

What exactly is the deal with profile pictures anyway? I spent several hours of my precious "free" time during the weekend trying to produce (unsuccessfully) an artistic, vaguely aesthetically pleasing picture of myself in order for readers of my writing to see a cheeky (geeky?) mug shot of me in the corner of all my articles and profile pages.

Why? Well, I have been reliably informed that in order to be taken more seriously as a writer, readers like to know "who" they are reading. Now, I understand the nature of curiosity, but really, does knowing what the author of a novel looks like make it a better novel? Does the writing take on a whole new complexion if there is a nice smiley picture of the writer on the inside cover?

The obvious answer is, NO! However we live in a very fickle and fearful world, especially in the "faceless" universe of the internet and so we are told that a picture of the author helps a reader build trust and confidence in their work and produces a more professional slant to ideas and opinions that are shared within the words.

Although there are famous portraits and sculptures that are believed to be in the very likeness of Mr William Shakespeare himself, it's fair to say that no soul living today really knows what he looked like. I think you will find he is still a pretty popular author, even amongst the "online" generation who don't particularly seem to be clamouring for The Bard's profile picture!

On the other hand, in an age of ever increasing identity theft and internet scams we are advised by authorities to keep our personal information as private as possible. Will your profile picture end up on someone's fake passport in some distant third world country?

Will someone steal the picture of your gorgeous self (ahem!) and use it on another website as their own profile picture and who really knows (except people you already know personally or if you are famous) that the profile picture posted is really you?

Is it all smoke and mirrors anyway? Will a profile picture really help you get a few more reads, a few more visits to your websites and pages? Are there more pros than cons because there certainly seem to be more questions than answers.

I suppose it calls for an experiment, so expect to find a somewhat blurry image of my very self in an article coming to a searchwarp near you soon!
